Forrest Gump said, “Life is like a box of chocolates…” ~ Well not really, but Stupid really is as stupid does and here is my simplified version of life and what’s important to me. :D
Here is my simple version of what I find important and how I organize my activities.
I took a course once the asked me to consider my roles and responsibilities in life could be divided into several compartments or domains. I was then given an assignment to look at everything in my life and divide the types of activities into as many compartments as needed, but as few as possible. Then name each domain or compartment something that inspired and motivated me.
When I was done, I had 4 domains. I had my friend Brigette make me a personal logo representing them.
- > Still Waters: The foundation of my life which represents my Spiritual Practice and development.
- > Rainmaker: Is my business and career domain.
- > Chocolates & Lace: Represents romance, food, travel and having fun. Carpé Diem; enjoying the fabric and texture of life.
- > Sol & Luna: My physical body and personal well being. My variation on yin/yang.
Between these four compartments, I can organize everything that I enjoy doing.
