Man I LOVE Google!
Recently I’ve been fascinated with http://peopleofwalmart.com — its a train wreck I can’t keep from watching. Today I visited POW and noticed they are a PR5 — out of a possible 10. As a benchmark, http://bni.com is also a PR5.

If James Arthur Ray treated animals the way he treated his customers, what would happen to him?
I just read a transcript of Melinda Martin’s Interview from Nightline… What would Ray be charged with if he treated cats, dogs or livestock the same way he treated people at his Sedona Seminar?

James Arthur Ray is finally a household name

review_genie_1 James Ray found his fame be being a guest author  on “The Secret” a professional produced movie that introduced the “Law of Attraction“. The point of the entire movie was “your thoughts attract and manifest” your physical reality. According to “The Secret” and James Ray, The Law of Attraction works like affirmations on steroids. That’s funny James Ray has used steroids too.

In my personal experience, affirmations work. If Ray was attracting of manifesting himself up there with the Ranks of Oprah & Elvis, as a “household” name, then he accomplished his goal and the law of attraction works. According to The Secret, the Universe doesn’t care or judge what you want. According to Ray, “Your wish is my command” and gets what it is you want the most expedient way possible. It would appear Ray forgot to include in his “attraction practices” that no one get hurt, including himself in the process. One could say that Ray’s intention was fulfilled, at any cost…

As we go into 2010, remember to be very clear about exactly what it is you want to have in your life and that you include in your dreams are to the benefit of all and NOT just yourself…

Why I Cancelled GoDaddy VDS/VPS Hosting

GoDaddy Customer Service Lesson:  What not to do…

I canceled my VDS/VPS hosting account with Godaddy. Their out of the box offering/configuration crashed once or twice a week, just from the overhead. Godaddy’s VDS service is cheap @ $29.99 per month compared to $50 and up for other low end VPS services. I went with GoDaddy based on their reputation and my excellent experience with their domain registration offerings.

godaddygirl-300x225I certainly misses the boat there. IMO GoDaddy’s entry level VDS service is simply a bait and switch offer positioned to up sell dedicated hosting services. As a consumer with hundreds of choices, I expect a name brand provider to offer a service that works out of the box. I am rapidly moving toward dedicated hosting and my VDS/VPS hosting trial with GoDaddy was intended as research and development moving toward that end. My experience with GoDaddy has me cancel them off my list of hosting providers, probably for life.

Here is the customer service mistake of the century and a GoDaddy Hosting deal killer for me. When I canceled my hosting account, I took an exit survey. I was all to happy to let GoDaddy know why I canceled. In an email response to my “Server Cancellation Survey”, I was offered an opportunity to chat with a live person (not to bad) and I would consider is to see if I could get a credit for the money I wasted on GoDaddy’s VDS hosting. Then at the end of the email and before the signature line, I’m presented notification of GoDaddy Grid Hosting (bad timing indeed). Here’s the pitch:

We would also like to note that we have recently added Grid hosting to our product offerings which many customers find provides increased performance benefits over standard shared hosting. You can find out more about Grid hosting at the following URL:…

Very poor service and a reminder to be careful automated email responses.
